Link Building, Contextual Links and Guest Blogging

There are many way to do link building effectively nowadays and everyone seems to have a theory about what contextual links work the best. The old way of doing things by just blasting you site link to hundreds of sites, blogs, forums and anywhere you can think of isn't quite as effective as it use to be. But if you build links the correct way, like guest blogging, it can be a very effective way to shoot up the SERP's and generate more traffic to your site.

As I eluded to, a good way to get contextual links is to do some guest blogging. This is where you post a blog on someone the site of another person and insert your own links in the post. You can also include a resource box on the post so you get some extra link juice in your link building efforts. Most people love having others blog on their site. It gives them some unique content and in return they get to post on the guest blogger's blog. It goes a very long way when generating unique content.

You can't go wrong with guest blogging but in terms of link building things are always changing. How effective traditional methods are is open to debate. However, having contextual links pointing to your site or a site where you site is linked to still remain an effective way to boost your search engine rankings.
