Born in 1756, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart is considered to be a huge influence on the world of music. He was a leading force during the classical music period. People continue to learn to play his music on the piano to this day for recitals and other events. He was not only a player of the music but a composer of it. Music was always a part of his life from a very early age. His father was a composer and part of an elite orchestra.
Mozart began playing the piano at the age of three. He was not pushed into doing so but rather fascinated by what his father was teaching his sister. Mozart picked up the lessons very quickly. He was also able to develop lessons of his own that astonished his father due to the very young age. His father began writing down the musical notes for what the young Mozart was composing at the age of five.
The family traveled a great deal due to his father's musical work. Mozart seemed to always be surrounded by other musicians. He learned a great deal from being around them. They were also fascinated at what this young child was able to do both in regards to his composing and his playing.
During his teenage years, Mozart was able to travel and play music all over the world. His favorite places were to travel to Vienna and to Paris. Some thought he was a fraud as he could create new compositions and then write them down from memory. Yet anyone that knows Mozart on a personal level understood that this was just one of his amazing abilities. It did take time but he was eventually given the due credit for his musical work.
Upon his death in 1791 he was regarded as one of the truest musicians of his time. Even though his life was a short one, it was full of music and of creation. No one in history sense has been able to duplicate the efforts of Mozart. He is credited with being a genius in the area of music. His compositions continue to be very popular all over the world.
